Waldie's Shed is the alluring hub for most activities at Stringy Brae. It's name derives from Donald Willson's ancestral home on the border of Scotland.

Weddings

Stringy Brae is delighted to assist in organising your wedding should you decide to choose our unique venue. We are extremely flexible and have many wedding reception options available as well as our Mote Hill ceremony site which is very private and intimate.

A formal intimate affair, a larger marquee gathering or something more casual, we can accommodate whatever you have in mind. We can arrange everything for you or only those aspects you do not wish or don't have the time to do yourselves. Everything is your choice.

A cocktail style, continuous food reception for up to 100 guests would be ideal in Waldie’s Shed, or, if you were leaning more towards a formal sit down reception then a marquee on Waldie’s Lawn would be perfect. We offer a very personal and individually designed wedding service for each of our bridal couples.

We encourage you to discuss an outline of what you have in mind for your wedding, number of guests and style of wedding -  sit down formal meal, or sit down buffet, maybe cocktail style with continuous food, or something more casual – we can then prepare a general range of costing to assist you in making your venue choice.
